La Sportiva "Mantis"

So I've began rock climbing. I got some cheap shoes and I'm addicted. The shoes fit a foot surprisingly well and are crazy tight.

 

I was trying the lighting from David Hobby's asparagus shot.

 

I shot the shoe on top of a mini-fridge because I wanted it black and it had a rough texture.

Strobist: cross lit with 2 LP160 @1/64, bare. key light was an LP120 through an Orbis RingFlash adapter at 1/4. Triggered via Pocket Wizards.
