Quichua (Kichwa) Shaman

The black hat in the prior photo (a few photos back) belonged to this man who, in addition to being a very talented artist, art collector, salsoteca owner, and our Amazon tourguide, apparently is also something of a Quichua shaman from the Andes Mountains.

 

Here he is performing a blessing ceremony prior to opening his Baños, Ecuador salsoteca to the public for the evening. We were fortunate enough to observe (and photograph) the ceremony.
