Man In A Window
Mobius Arch is probably the most photographed arch in California. I have seen some fantastic photos shot through this archway and it has been on my bucket list for sometime. For this shot I wanted to put my own perspective on it and get a different shot than all the others I have seen. I like to frame my photos with natural elements and I really like interesting rock formations as you have probably noticed from my stream. So, I arrived at this spot really early and set up to get a shot far enough away with a 70 -200mm to help enlarge Mt.Whitney into the whole inside of the window while using "The" mountain as a backdrop, also keeping the mysterious "Pink Floydish" looking head on the lower right inside the frame .
Within a couple of minutes two other photographers showed up and we all stood there chatting and watching the sunrise all the while swapping locations and arches for recompositions and swatting away a barrage of misquotes, which for some reason were really swarming this morning. But, I was prepared and had a bottle of Jungle Juice in my camera bag so I passed it around. While there, I ran into fellow flickr photographer Marc Briggs. We chatted all the way back to the cars then we exchanged names and when I returned home I found that I was following him on flickr. Small World. Here's a Link to his stream. Check him out, his work is very professional and I have been humbled by his presence. :) It was great meeting up with you Marc. Have a great Easter Sunday.

Ansel Adams once said that landscape photography is the supreme test of the photographer - and often the supreme disappointment.
