Phalaenopsis

An Orchid .. the name is from the Greek and means moth-like. (this was a lot prettier to me before i knew that!!)

 

This was my wedding flower, my bouquet was made from draped orchids. To me it is beautiful in its simplicity the pure white with the very delicate white pearlescent petals.

 

I am proud to say I bought this from a supermarket last year , and its just reflowered last week (yeay, i didn't kill it off!!)

 

I was aiming for a high key photo look with this to give an air of softness. I think i failed in that, but i still think its a semi decent photo!
