View From 8th Avenue

Here I chose to edit my RAW file using Olympus's Dramatic Art Tone filter to render an image that is more like a painting than a photograph. While the effect can be over the top at times, I have found it to be fun to experiment with. Here I especially loved the effect as it lent a rather surreal effect to this scene which captured my feelings at viewing this scene. While that newer glass building seen to the right has been there for a few years now, I still remember the time when I still lived in NYC and that strange building (along with the center islands and bike lanes) was not there. Taken at the intersection of 8th & Greenwich Avenues in NYC. Straight version posted next.
