The monumentality of this building is a key feature of this photo - achieved by a low point of view and a limited colour scheme, The brown of the rusty tin, the blue patches of weathered paint and the textured pattern of the white pressed tin(?) details on the side of the structure complement the scattering white clouds and the azure sky in the background.
Sandra Greed says:
There's an innocence but also a hint of naughtiness about this shot. Blowing bubbles is usually an activity for young children, though, when we see a teenaged girl blowing bubbles - with bare shoulders, a hint of cleavage and a nose piercing, the viewer may wonder about the real story.....
Sandra Greed says:
This is food photography at its absolute best. The composition is simple and the stream of liquid breaks up the white area at the top of the photo and directs attention to the luscious pear in the foreground. The white dish on the white surface acts as a frame for the pears and the liquid they are sitting in.
