Bowmans Rail Balco service 4120S races through Korunye behind CFCLA lease units EL63/GL112 on Friday the 1st of February 2019. The Balco services conveys containerised Hay and other agricultural products between Port Pirie, Bowmans and Pelican Point for export overseas.
Since October 2017, the train also picks up SCT’s Wine train consist on the way to Pelican Point to save having 2 seperate services sharing the one terminal at the same time, forcing one of the two trains to wait til space is available.
On this day 23 years ago, EL63 was involved in a crossing accident at Calomba with a grain truck whilst working Trailerail service 3PM7 on Thursday the 1st of February 1996.
