Fresh and Lovely 💙💙

I seem to be a little obsessed with this bell bottom design! In truth, I had to fix my pattern so I wanted to test it out to check the changes I had made. But every fabric is different so that's another aspect that needs to be factored in. In fact, after I cut of the pieces for the pants I thought I'd made a mistake: this fabric has quite a stretch in one direction while in the other it doesn't. I only noticed this after cutting out. Ugh! Would I have to cut the pieces again since I had cut with the stretch on the length rather than the width? I had a little think about it and I decided that stretch on the length might actually be better since having the fabric stretch width-wise would make the pattern stretch out of shape. So I stuck with my original pieces with the stretch running lengthwise. I'm so happy I made this decision since I'm convinced having the stretch on the width would have made the pattern unworkable. I followed through with the same approach on the laced top. I kind of wanted a jumpsuit look but keep the versatility of having separates (obsessed with separates!) and I made a little crochet beaded belt to accessorise it :-) Thanks to my lovely friend Marij for the adorable beach bag!
