Torlundy Sawmill and / or Site of Hydro-Electric Generator

Torlundy Sawmill

This is at NN 1434 7698

It is not on the 1870 map but shown on the 1900 map and marked as a sawmill.

There are the remains of a structure crossing the river at NN 1435 7700, this seems to be a footbridge shown on the 1900 map.

An article in the Lochaber News 28.11.2011 shows the turbine that was removed and taken to the local Aluminium Smelter. It is described as a hydro-electric station supplying Inverlochy Castle.
