Whilst checking aerial photographs in the RCAHMS Search Room I noticed that the field centred on NH 9369 8733 had a very distinct white line from the South East corner to the centre of the field where there was a small white circular area.
106G/UK 751.31AUG45 6068 and 6069
I asked locally and found that this field is known as "The Target".
There is this concrete arrow at NH 93665 87133 (I will add a sketch with dimensions later). The arrow is pointing 10 degrees Magnetic.
There are also small buildings at NH 94116 87167 and NH 93484 86970. These are being used by the farm but look originally military.
Also a Quadrant Tower at NH 93053 86870 with main window facing 100 degrees Magnetic and side window 10 degrees Magnetic.
This is the building at NH 94116 87167.
It has a corridor with two small rooms at left, at least one a latrine. Another room to the right then larger room at the back. Modified for agricultural use.
