Royal Navy WWII Indicator Loop Station, Oban

Royal Navy WWII Indicator Loop Station, Oban

This is at the entrance to Oban Bay and had submarine cables running out in a number of direction. These would give an indication of any vessel passing over them. The nearby Port War Signal Station would be contacted and they would signal the vessel, if no vessel could be seen then it would be indication that there was probably a submerged submarine.
