Dail-a'-chirn shown at NH 31257 05640 - now just a ruin. The present building at NH 31256 05626 is not shown but the enclosure at NH 31272 05624 is there.

There is a Sheepfold at NH 31286 05720 but the more modern Achadh nan Darach at NH 31286 05720 is not shown and neither is the Byre behind it.

Achadh nan Darach is shown along with what seems to be the sunken walled enclosure to the East of it.

Also a building at NH 31526 05611 with two tracks approaching from the East.

The 2nd Edition OS Maps has

Dail-a-chuirn now has the present day building at NH 31256 05626. The earlier building at NH 31257 05640 might now be further East with West end unroofed.

Achadh nan Darach now has the house at NH 31286 05720 with the Byre behind and the Sheepfold as before. These are connected to Dail a Chuirn by a footbridge.

The building at NH 31472 05544 might now be shown unroofed, still the enclosure to the East.

The building at NH 31526 05611 might still be roofed with perhaps something at the East end.

--------

Present day (May 2014)

Dail a'Chuirn

Still roofed but full of mud. Two rooms inside. Enclosure to the East.

The building behind is a ruin.

Achadh nan Darach

This is connected to Dail a'Chuirn by a foorbridge. The building is used as a bothy and has the walls and ceiling at the top of the stairs covered in newspaper and magazine cuttings from the earlyu 1940s mainly.

Byre behind still in use for storage.

Sheepfold very overgrown and behind fence so little can be seen of it.

A path goes South East towards the original Achadh nan Darach site. This is partly in raised on a small embankment 5000MM long and partly in a cutting. The embankment passes over a small stream at NH 31382 05620, it is about 1450MM wide. The culvert is a section about 500MM high.

At the end of the path is circular raised clearing about 4300MM diameter at NH 31391 08608. To the West of this is a circular structure at NH 31387 05605. This is about 1800MM diameter and about 700MM high.

The ruin which appears to be the original Achadh nan Darach is about 9300MM x 4000MM.

The other ruin at NH 31530 05600 is about 4300MM x 11700MM.
