Richard Hawley - The Leadmill, December 2022
My twenty first Richard Hawley gig! On Monday 19th December 2022 Richard Hawley kicked off his second residency of the year at the iconic Leadmill with a phenomenal gig that included all the old favourites such as Standing At The Sky’s Edge, Tonight The Streets Are Ours, Coles Corner and Open Up Your Door. As usual, Richard and the band were on fire, they’re so tight and were clearly loving every minute of it! There were no special guests this time (unlike his August residency), but we were treated to the first playing of 2005’s Hotel Room since 2012 and it sounded amazing. There was a small technical hitch after Down In The Woods, but after a brief pause while Richard’s guitar tech Gordon worked his magic, the gig resumed with a rocking Is There A Pill, and an amazing version of Heart of Oak, before finishing with There’s A Storm Comin’, brilliant!
