Leonardo and the Woodpecker's Tongue - Millennium Gallery 2019

“Describe the tongue of the woodpecker” was on Leonardo da Vinci’s to-do list but as far as we know, he never got around to it. “Leonardo and the Woodpecker’s Tongue” was a fascinating talk and public dissection of a green woodpecker (not for the squeamish!) by Professor Tim Birkhead of the University of Sheffield at the Millennium Gallery, Thursday 2nd May 2019.
