another shot from the national gardens before going back to shots of memorials! lol!
these Alstromeria* flowers are so ubiquitous in supermarkets that i never really looked at them closely. inside the dc botanical gardens, i was able to appreciate them up close, noting for the first time that they are small lilies!
from Wikipedia, these lilies are from south america, commonly called peruvian or bazilian lilies! under the sunlight, they are just gorgeous! don't you think?
almost midnight now, will have to go to bed...been flickring for 5 hours! not enough! lol!
