This is where I started this inquiry: after I heard this author interviewed on the radio this morning. One of the things he said was something like "there isn't a pixel on Amazon's screen that's not informed by randomized testing." Bothered by finding that the Kindle version of the book was nearly as expensive as the hardcover, I opened a Brave private window on Tor, to see what a random customer about which Amazon could know as little as possible, might get for a kindle price. Answer: a $6.10 discount.
So I went on to compare a series of books I know, on Chrome and Brave/Tor, without being logged in to Amazon on either. Click on the right > to continue.
