The WGBH tower at this highest point In the Blue Hills Reservation on Great Blue Hill, the highest landform in coastal Massachusetts, named Massachusett. WGBH is named after Great Blue Hill, and is grandfathered at 98000 watts of effective radiated power (in a region where the top allowed power is about half that. WGBH-TV also used to radiate from here, but moved in the 1960s to the tower farm in Needham, Mass. Other antennas on the tower are for WKAF/97.7 (the two-bay) the NOAA Weather Radio's station, KHB35, and many other two-way radio relays. Since these shots were taken, WGBH has replaced its antenna with a new ERI, also eight bays.
