You are not looking at mist or fog . . .
Yesterday was a nasty day with sustain winds of 35 to 50 mph, which moved tons of very dry top soil into the atmosphere. It was a strong cold front that moved into north Iowa mid afternoon.
Today we still have the winds, just not quite as nasty as yesterday. The temps have dropped to the mid 50's today and the forecast is cool for several more days.
What we really need is rain, lots of rain. But only sprinkles so far today . . .
