Horseshoe Bend, AZ
Heroism is the courage to be oneself.
--José Ortega y Gasset, a philosopher--
Taken during the trip to Utah/Arizona. This is the Colorado river. The water level used to be up at ground level for over millions of years ago, I believe. Over time, the river stream then has carved the flat sandstone rock layers and formed this amazing so-called "Horseshoe" shape. There are so many historical things to explore around here at the Horseshoe Bend near Page city.
It is quite dangerous to take shots here by the cliffs. I had to lay flat on my stomach so the body weight was spreaded evenly on the ground & moved inch by inch forward until I could view the whole scene. You gotta be really careful & smart enough not to put yourself at risk. I have heard some people had died from falling off the cliff !! I don't think I've seen any shot from this angle yet, and I don't know when I will be back here again, so here it is!!
