the setup
Here's the setup for this shot. I didn't have a lot of room to work with (there's a pile of video game consoles and controllers just off camera to the right), so the setup is a lot closer to the wall than I would have liked. So, I dealt with it and let the light spill onto the wall to create a flat background.
The nitpicky details:
Vivitar 285HV in a shoot-through umbrella on top. Nikon SB-600 in a shoot-through umbrella on the bottom. Nikon D70 with a 50mm/1.8 on a tripod between the umbrellas. All connected via Cactus V2 wireless.
