Photobombed on the Eiger
As we left the train at the Eigergletscher stop to start our hike along the Eiger Trail in Switzwerland, we were some 2,300m up. The Eiger itself was 100% cloud covered but occasionally came into view. Its hard to describe the feeling of how dominating and huge the mountain is and how small we seemed as it rose another 1700m above us. The last thing I expcted to see in such an enviroment were several birds - Alpine Choughs - flying speedily around us. A bit of photographer's luck and I managed to get one in shot along with the famous and treacherous North Face.
