Chasm's Edge

Dettifoss , Iceland

 

Standing before this waterfall in Northern Iceland has to rank as one of the most powerful experiences I have had. The sheer amount of water plummeting over its edge and how close you can get to the drop of the fall is nothing short of breathtaking. (There are small people on the opposite bank for scale).

 

On another note, Ray has led me to One life's photography competition (thanks). I bit the bullett and chose to enter this one instead of the 'Better Photography' competition this year. Most of the previous winning photos are of portraits and PJ style shots, however, I hope there is also some landscape representation!
