2018 Iowa Kidstrong Fun Run
Before some of the nation's top athletes took to the streets of downtown Des Moines, elementary school students from the metro area had a chance to warm up the race route of the 9th annual Grand Blue Mile. Students from Carver, Hanawalt and Stowe elementary schools were among the participants in the Iowa Kidstrong Fun Run. With students kicking off the Grand Blue Mile, the event concludes with the national 1 mile road race championship.
