Nanoworld in the Summer
This summer, Iowa State University and Des Moines Public Schools -SUCCESS program, in cooperation with a grant from the National Science Foundation are bringing the emerging world of nanoscience to the amazing kids that make up the Des Moines Public Schools. Programming includes hands on presentations of STEM, science, math and engineering with a focus on the emerging world of nanoscience. The first day kicked off at Studebaker Elementary where concepts were introduced. The second day will include a visit to ISU where they will do amazing demonstrations, have a picnic and tour the campus. Finally, the third day, they will meet back at Studebaker to discuss all they have learned.
