Lonely Dog
This dog lives across from me and I am always taking pictures of him. I have posted him several times on here with little stories. I don't even know his name. I often open my front door and whistle or yell to him affectionately (when his family is away). I hope somehow that he at least knows that I am trying. (He probably thinks I am weird).
He picks up sticks from the ground sometimes and plays fetch by himself. Once in a while he'll run back and forth within his little allowed area where the cable will reach. I don't know much about him except that his first 7 or 8 months or so were spent inside with the family. When he grew up, however still a pup. I think his bathroom habits were harder to accept as he grew older. He, like many dogs was probably not trained properly. I think he also likes to chew things up. However, I have to look at him everyday and being a dog lover...I just feel for him. It is so sad. So many times he gets excited when he hears his family outside. He jumps and prances and looks so proud. Then after a time, he looks like the above photo when he realizes that they just aren't "coming to visit me today".
I am sure his family thinks he is just a dog. If they only knew what exactly this dog could bring to their life. When a dog loves his owner, he does it whole hearted. I know because I was loved by a dog for 19 years. I learned many simple life lessons from her that I will cherish forever.
I guess this little four footed guy here with the sad eyes and big heart will spend his life daily waiting patiently for his family to give him some real attention.
