IC443 (Jellyfish Nebula)

Synthetic RGB.

 

Ha --> R (12 x 20m subs)

SII --> B (4 x 20m subs)

SII+Ha --> G

 

Total exposure time: 5h20m.

 

I used what little SII signal I had (4 x 20m subs) to create a Blue layer, and then synthesized a Green layer from SII and Ha (assigned to Red).

The result has no scientific value whatsoever, but it's hopefully pleasing to the eye. (At least it looks a little bit like a jellyfish!)
