Schweizer TG-3A (Wing Sectionl) - SGS 2-12
This wing leading edge shows the fine workmanship of US furniture makers applied to aircraft manufacture. The National Soaring Museum has a scale model of the aircraft from which this wing came on display. An actual TG-3A has been preserved at the National Museum of the US Air Force, Dayton, OH. The TG-3A was born of a US Army requirement for a two-place training glider.
