Grand Wizzard Theodore

The legendary Grand Wizzard Theodore (widely credited as the inventor of scratching) during the Milestones Jam-Master Jay (Jason Mizell of Run-DMC) tribute in September 2006 at Berklee, the first school to fully embrace the turntable as a musical instrument (in 1994). The Milestones Tribute honored many of the living legends who developed or shaped hip hop in the early days and golden era. Quite an evening. I was lucky to get a press pass to the cover the event.

Note: One of the DJ Premier photos in this set was used in a piece by artist/curator Tewodross Melchishua in the M3 (MCs, Mics & Metaphors) Exhibit at the Gallery at Flashpoint in DC.

over the next couple months, I'll be posting a bunch of old concert photos. A summer project as it were. These are the last photos from the first batch
