Þingvellir National Park -- where tectonic plates meet AND Vikings met

This is also where the world's oldest parliament met. Þingvellir is where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates are separating in a series of huge cracks, one of which has been filled by the Öxarár River, emptying into Þingvallavatn Lake.
