IBEW solar array
The 360 solar arrays were installed recently at the IBEW Union Hall in Northeast Portland. They will be commissioned Saturday in a 10 a.m. ceremony. The 78-kilowatt array will provide 40 percent of the building’s electrical usage for the next 30 years. The array also is being used to train electrical apprentices how to install the panels. Sen. Ron Wyden, ex-Gov. John Kitzhaber and other politicians are scheduled to attend the ceremony, along with Local 48 members and construction industry well-wishers. The public is invited to attend.
