nudibranch15Sep29-17

My usual ride to Anacapa Island took the week off at the end of September, so I did a little "drive and dive" to Morro Bay, CA. I made two "muck dives" under the t-shaped pier near the harbor patrol office because I had heard it was a good area for nudibranchs. Boy was I amazed... the area was beyond my expectations! One of the most amazing things about the nudi-life under the pier was that there were, conservatively, about 1000 of these opalescent nudibranchs. They were literally covering every inch of some parts of the ocean floor!
