The Pike, in Long Beach is nothing like it used to be. Removed to the East but remaining until July 2010 from the original was the roof of the Looff, the carousel that graced the entrance nearby the Cyclone Racer roller coaster, was in temporary storage where once was Eddie's diner. South of Ocean Blvd. marked the Eastern beginning of "The Pike" The 'Fun Zone' continued East and West from where the telephone pole stands past snack shops, shooting galleries, dark rides, souvenir photographers, more penny arcades, and many shops of souvenir trinkets and clothing - even bikinis. Just barely visible in the sky on the left is the arc of the Ferris Wheel on what today is called The Pike.
