Wendell Phillips

One of the many sculptures that grace Boston's Public Garden is this one of Wendell Phillips, a noted abolitionist and advocate for the rights of Native Americans.

It is by Daniel Chester French, who is perhaps best known for the sculpture of the seated Abraham Lincoln in the Lincoln Memorial .
