Mass of Christ the Healer 2018
Bishop David Walkowiak celebrated the Mass of Christ the Healer (sometimes called the “White Mass”) on Sunday, Oct. 14 at the Cathedral of Saint Andrew in Grand Rapids. It is often celebrated on or near the feast of St. Luke (Oct. 18), physician and evangelist, and the patron saint of physicians and surgeons.
The annual Mass is an opportunity to thank and bless all those engaged in any aspect of health care; to honor and support those who carry on the work of Jesus Christ bringing health, hope and comfort to people in the diocese.
