Welshpool Tractor Run – At Criggion
I'm sure this is the same tractor I photographed going up Welshpool High Street. It was too dark to see at the time and I was distracted by glaring lights approaching so I only recognised it when I processed the photo on the computer. Perhaps the only heritage / vintage tractor on the whole run ?
If I had to choose a favourite, this would be it.
The event took place on 12th December 2021 starting at Welshpool Livestock Market where the public were able to walk around, talk to owners and organisers and view the tractors prior to their 30 mile run.
A convoy of over 70 illuminated tractors then left the livestock market at 5pm and embarked on a round trip heading for Welshpool via Salop Road, up Welshpool High Street and on to the neighbouring villages of Guilsfield, Arddleen, Four Crosses, Llandrinio, Criggion, Trewern and Buttington before heading back to the Livestock Market.
A thoroughly enjoyable visual and aural treat of illuminated tractors, raising funds in aid of The DPJ foundation. I understand the event was organised by a lady called Jenny Clarke. For more information and if you are able to donate to the charity, please see....
