In August 2023, the Kiezsalon returned to MaHalla with performances by Penelope Trappes, a UK-based vocalist and ambient musician from Australia and cellist/composer Justin Wright from Montreal. As well computer musician Marcin Pietruszewski and DJs Ireen Amnes and faux naïf.
The dramatically repurposed factory MaHalla has been the setting for Kiezsalon events over the past two years, and we’re delighted to return to the iconic industrial space once again in 2023. The vast turbine space located in Oberschöneweide in the district of Treptow-Köpenick — the city’s historic industrial zone was the inspiration for Fritz Lang’s iconic masterpiece Metropolis.
