Can you tell me why this is an impossible shot?

 

I was out with some friends taking pictures and exploring EPCOT when they decided to get out of the pending rain to visit Spaceship Earth. While we were standing at the entrance and talking to the cast members, I turned around and saw this. These mirrors had a great view of the wait time sign as well an extended view of the pattern that engulfs the ride itself...
