New Orleans CBD as seen from Algiers. I had been to the west bank of the city one day. This is just partial skyline. I intended to go further down the walkway at Algiers, but i didn't find time for that.
A ferry from the end of Canal Street takes people (for free) to the other shore of Mississippi, which is called West Bank or Algiers. There's a bridge, Crescent City Connection, that connects the West Bank and New Orleans, but many people choose the ferry to even get their cars across. There's a ferry every half hour, so people who work in New Orleans get their bikes/cars in the ferry and taken them back in the evening.
