Eat Now At Waddle's
Motorists traveling northbound across the Interstate Bridge between Portland, Or and Vancouver, Wa would pass this iconic sign, which sat on the roof of Waddle's Restaurant.
Waddle's operated from 1945 until it closed in 2004, with plans for it to become a Krispy Kreeme Doughnuts. That ended up not happening and Hooters took the space over.
The sign’s still there…but now with the Hooters branding. However it’s just not quite the same.
I shot this the day Waddles Restaurant closed their doors for good.
