1934 Plymouth PE Deluxe Coupe

By the end of 1933 one of every four new cars sold in the United States bore Plymouth’s distinctive Mayflower badge. Chrysler Corporation had produced one million Plymouth brand cars in just six years.
A 1934 Plymouth cost one hundred dollars more than a Ford but was loner, heavier and better-equipped, with independent front suspension and -on the line-leading PE- standard Free-Wheeling. The optional ($5.00) aluminum cylinder head boosted the output of Plymouth’s refined six-cylinder engine to within three horses of Ford’s vaunted V-8.
This beautiful Deluxe Two-Door Coupe represented Plymouth’s Depression-era value apex in terms of engineering, style and features.
