May a star shine upon your path [to Sh. (WNP)] [explored on 2020/06/18]
Hi my friends, this is another sunset at Lake Iseo unearthed from my Summer 2019 archives. For once, I would let the image speak for itself: I feel that it could speak to everyone who would spend a little time to look at this almost exhausted sunset (indeed, just a handful of minutes and all the fires were gone).
However the location itself deserves some words, at least for those of you who do not know Italy.
Montisola, the main island of the Lake Iseo in Lombardy, Italy, ranks very high among touristic locations - in 2019 it was elected as the third best European tourist place (incidentally, it is a cars-free place). Peschiera Maraglio is the best known village in the island and is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. From the hills rolling along the Eastern bank of the lake one can contemplate the ancient embrace of the village and the water - an ancient story of love and hard work.

I have obtained this picture by blending an exposure bracketing [-1.3/0/+1.3 EV] by luminosity masks in the Gimp (EXIF data, as usual, refer to the "normal exposure" shot), then I added some final touches with Nik Color Efex Pro 4. Denoising with DFine 2 and the Gimp (denoised and original images blended by luminance). Raw files has been processed with Darktable.
