Daily Shoot - Manhole covers have character and quietly tell a story. Make a photo of a manhole cover in your neighborhood today.

 

There are pretty ordinary manhole covers on my street - you don't really get a sense of time or place from them. When I want to see things in a different way, I pull out my macro lens. I zeroed in on a small segment where the cover meets the road. There's great texture there! You can even see some grains of road salt left over from last winter.
