The aftermath of a serious freezing rain storm that started on Wednesday, which calmly let itself out early Thursday morning. Power outages across the region, affecting some 200,000 homes and businesses. Thankfully we have a 10 kW permanent standby generator to take the edge off... We were able to keep our food fresh, our furnace on and even watched some of our favourite downloaded shows (even though there was no internet).
