Tipitaka Invitation Card Japan Nittaiji

Example of the Invitation Card for the Tipiṭaka Recitation at Nagoya, Japan, to be organised by Dhamma Society and Japan Theravada Buddhist Association.

On the right shows an image of the 40-volume World Tipiṭaka Edition in Roman Script with the historic archival image of the Great International Tipitaka Council in 1957, in the background.

On the left is the statue of King Chulalongkorn Chulachomklao of Siam in front of Nittaiji.

The King published the Tipiṭaka in book form, then in 39 volumes, for the first time in the world and presented them as a royal gift to 30 learning institutions in throughout Japan over a century ago.

Tipitaka Recitation from the World Tipitaka Edition in Roman Script will commemorate the King's vision and the Tipitaka network between the people of Thailand and Japan.
