The scan doesnt do it justice. Its E100VS, my favorite slide film. Its less magenta and more Orange.

This is city hall again, I tend towards an aesthetic as its the way I see. Ill try and use the entirety of the viewfinder image to fill with a scene and I will turn and tilt the camera and my head until i get both the scene, and the aesthetic I want. I like the concept of vanishing point and perspective, you will see that in my compositions. I dont necessarily think out an image in advance, but I do know from years of experience how a certain kind of scene will look, in advance, from a description, and from there it gives me a visual marker to work with when I am actually in the scene.

I believe, that in order for images to actually work or perform a function of memory entrapment, a visual aesthetic is essential, everything from that point onwards follows. This aesthetic is achievable via cropping an image and for a news situation, for instance, where visual aesthetics are less important then content, the same applies; once the content is achieved then the aesthetic can be applied.

This image was for a piece on security and the concept of the watchful eye being watched itself perhaps directly or indirectly.

Incidentally I could not be seen my the security camera directly but via reflection I could see it.
