Pippin's Bibs
Pippin the Mini-Golden (probably more like a dachshund/beagle/chow mix) underwent surgery a couple weeks ago to repair a diaphragmatic hernia. For the next 10 days after surgery, he had to have a gastric tube attached through his side into his stomach. His incision and tube were bound up by an uncomfortable bandage.
After the sutures and tube were removed, the remaining hole was left open to drain and seal up on its own.
I didn't want Pippin to have to wear another bandage for the next week, so I went looking for another solution and found these toddler bibs. They keep the area protected while still allowing air to circulate, so the wound dries out.
And they have the added bonus of making him look just too cute for words
