Photograph taken at an altitude of Two hundred and twenty seven metres at 12:14pm on Tuesday 5th September 2023 off Burrator Road overlooking Burrator reservoir in Yelverton, Devon. Here we look onwards to Leather Tor.

 

 

Originally commissioned by the Borough of Plymouth under Mayor J T Bond in 1893, the reservoir was completed in 1898. Later it was enlarged in capacity from 668 to 1026 million gallons between 1923 and 1928.
