Also known as the 'white wolf' and 'polar wolf', the Arctic wolf (canis lupus arctos) is a sub species of the grey wolf native to Canada's Queen Elizabeth Islands. Smaller than other species of wolf, it has a whiter coat and narrower braincase and skull due to hybridization with dogs.
