Photograph taken at an altitude of Three hundred and forty six metres, at 13:41pm on Friday 10th September 2019 off the Okanagan Highway 97 and Beach Avenue where it crosses 13 Street, on the shoreline of Peachland in British Columbia, Canada.

 

 

Here we see a Male Brewer's Blackbird (Euphagus cyanocephalus), named after ornithologist Thomas Mayo Brewer, and distinguished by it's iridescent purple head (unlike the Rusty Blackbird to which it is closely related). Males are up to 10.3 inches in length with black legs and bright yellow eyes and a green and blue colour to the body feathers. It is classd as an American bird, and a New World Blackbird.
