Teton Pass Sunrise
This shot was the result of a Plan C sunrise shoot. Plan A was to drive through Grand Teton National Park to get a cathedral-peak angle of the Tetons. Plan B began when we reached the road blockade of our nearest park entrance. We decided to go the long way around and see where we ended up around sunrise. By then we could tell the clouds were way too socked in to see anything from the valley. So Plan C became going up Teton Pass to overlook the valley of Jackson Hole. Turned out pretty spectacular for a Plan C scramble.
This is also among my first sunrise shoots with my new Fujifilm system. I've been extremely happy with my move from Canon full-frame. I love the compact size and high quality prime lenses. I've been able to capture incredible images with the Fuji system, even though it's a previous generation model - and a "downgrade" crop sensor from my Canon full-frame 6D.
